On July 27, 2021, the 42090 train from Vietnam to China, carrying 250 tons of materials, departed from Guangxi Pingxiang Railway Station to Belgium. This train is expected to run for 25 days, passing through China, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries, and finally to Belgium. This is the first China-Europe freight train that China has cooperated with Vietnam, realizing the joint transportation of China-Vietnam freight trains and China-Europe freight trains.

China-Vietnam-Europe joint transportation

It is understood that there are a total of 23 40-foot universal standard containers for the goods shipped to Belgium this time. Compared with the original shipping, the use of the China-Vietnam train and the China-Europe train can save about one week of transportation time and improve transportation efficiency.

According to Jiang Jing, the station manager of Pingxiang Station in Nanning Depot of Nanning Bureau Group Company, the combined transportation of China-Vietnam and China-Europe express trains is mainly divided into Sino-Vietnam express trains, Hanoi Dongying Station in Vietnam-China Pingxiang Station and Sino-Europe trains China Pingxiang Station- Two sections of itinerary at Liege Station in Belgium.

Under the premise of strictly implementing the relevant requirements for epidemic prevention and control, Nanning Bureau Group Company Pingxiang Station strengthened cooperation with the customs department, adopted the principle of "prioritized delivery, priority inspection, and priority transportation" for intermodal trains, and actively coordinated with China Railway Container Corporation. , Ningtie International Logistics Co., Ltd., and other departments, ensure that all links of the train operation are closely connected, guarantee the high-quality operation of China-Vietnam and China-Europe trains, and provide a solid foundation for the normal operation of the following.

With the continuous improvement of railway international transportation equipment and facilities, the transportation capacity of Pingxiang Port has been further released. Rail transport has become the best choice for ASEAN countries to import and export goods to Europe. The joint transportation mode of China-Vietnam and China-Europe express trains provides a convenient channel for cargo transportation between ASEAN countries and European countries.

It is reported that since the launch of the China-Vietnam train, more and more types of goods have been transported, and the efficiency of customs clearance has also become faster and faster. In the first half of 2021, a total of 145 China-Vietnam freight trains were opened, an increase of 64.8% year-on-year, providing a basis for cooperation between China-Vietnam and China-Europe container freight trains in Guangxi. It is expected that in August 2021, China will continue to cooperate with Vietnam to open two China-Vietnam and China-Europe joint transportation trains to carry goods such as electronic products and production and living materials.
