Xinjiang Unicom Central Asia and Europe
It is understood that the Kashgar region and Kezhou in southern Xinjiang have the natural geographical advantage of connecting Central Asia and Europe, and their role in the construction of the Belt and Road is becoming more and more obvious. Since then, in addition to the Alashankou and Horgos ports, Xinjiang has opened up another new international trade channel to the Eurasian region, providing more options for Chinese manufacturing to "go global." In recent years, the Xinjiang Railway Department has promoted the construction of logistics bases, leaning toward southern Xinjiang in terms of transportation capacity, station renovation, facilities and equipment, and continuously improved the transportation and transit capabilities of the railway stations in the two places. At the same time, it will explore the use of road-rail combined transport and extend the new China-Europe railway line.
The Xinjiang Railway Department has integrated the scattered sources of goods in southern Xinjiang by launching centralized and consolidated freight trains to carry China-Europe freight trains out of the country. At the same time, it will strengthen coordination and communication with mainland customers, explore the use of road-rail combined transport, and extend the development of new China-Europe train transportation routes.
Lu Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Kashgar Regional Freight Center, said: "Since 2020, we have been exploring and improving the operation mode of China-Europe Express Railroad and Rail Combined Transport. At present, there are 5 cargoes exported from Kashgar and Kezhou land ports via railway transit. The country has also increased the product categories by more than 10 kinds.” Next, the railway department will continue to strengthen communication with the government, customs, and foreign trade enterprises, improve the transportation organization measures for the new China-Europe railway line such as China, Kyrgyzstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine, and unblock goods. Transportation channels, continue to expand the "circle of friends" in international material and trade exchanges, and better serve the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
