As one of the four Ghanaian road and bridge projects that took the lead in starting construction, the Tamali Overpass has attracted great attention from the Ghanaian government and local people. After President Akufo-Addo arrived in Tamali, accompanied by local officials, he went straight to the construction site of the project, inspected the construction on the site, and listened carefully to the construction progress report. The President fully affirmed the progress of the construction site.
The Tamali Overpass has a total length of 684 meters and a total of 19 spans with six joints. At present, the concrete pouring of the first, second and fifth joint box girder has been completed. The sixth joint, the longest and most difficult project, is expected to be poured in mid-August. The remaining third and fourth box beam concrete is expected to be poured by the end of 2021.
As the first overpass project in the northern province of Ghana, the completion of the Tamali overpass will greatly ease traffic congestion in the city. Editor/He Yuting
