The Zhejiang Ningbo Zhoushan Port Main Channel Project led by Zhejiang Transportation Group, with a total length of 36.78 kilometers and a total investment of approximately 16.3 billion yuan, connects Fuchi Island, Zhoushan Main Island, Changbai Island, Daishan Island, and Yushan Island in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. It is an island that crosses 5 waterways and is designed according to the standard of a two-way four-lane expressway. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2021.
This super traffic project after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is called the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the industry. After completion, it will be connected to the Ningbo-Zhuhai Expressway, spanning 8 islands, with 10 bridges, and connecting Shanghai all the way to the north, making it the longest island-linking expressway in the world. Highways and the largest cross-sea bridge group make Shanghai, Ningbo, and Zhoushan the shortest land transportation, which is of great significance for improving the regional comprehensive transportation network, supporting the industrial layout planning, and promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
