Japan’s infrastructure is ushering in a new dawn, and the Japanese private company Mori Building Co. has embarked on a real estate development project worth about 580 billion yen ($5.4 billion). The project site is close to the Roppongi district in central Tokyo. It was named Toranomon-Azabudai project, and considering its vastness and scale, it aims to create a city within a city. It will be the site of three high-rise towers and is estimated to accommodate about 20,000 office workers. It will also have a residential arrangement that can accommodate another 3,500 people. In addition, allocation areas, museums and galleries are also stipulated.
New landmark
Through such a large-scale construction activity, the site will cover an area of 81,000 square meters, similar to the Rockefeller Center in New York, and will also have 24,000 square meters of vast green space, including a 6,000 square meter central plaza. The total construction area of the project is 860,400 square meters, of which the office area is 219,900 square meters and the residential area is about 1,400. Mori CEO Shingo Tsuji also confirmed that they also plan to develop a British school for about 700 students from 50 countries. This step may promote the entry of more multinational companies, so it will also attract workers from abroad. The idea of this huge project is to provide a suitable environment for overseas Chinese in central Tokyo where they can work, live and study. One of the three towers will have 64 floors and will be the tallest building in the country with a height of 330m. It will also have a luxury hotel brand that debuted in the country, a large food market and a medical facility.
