On August 18, 2021, at the construction site of the cross-rail bridge on Jian’an Street in Wuhan, the 133-meter-long east main tower pier with a weight of 14,000 tons went through a counterclockwise horizontal rotation of 83 degrees and the west that was rotated in place on the 17th. According to reports, the project was built on behalf of Wuhan Wuhan Railway Engineering Project Management Company, designed by China Railway Bridge Institute, and constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau. The railway bridge on Jian'an Street crosses Yi'an West Road, Yuhua Connection Line, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Yi'an Road in order, and is a main urban road connecting Wuhan Baishazhou area and Nanhu area. The bridge is a steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 519.3 meters, of which the main bridge is 245 meters in length. It is 40 kilometers per hour.

Both the Baishazhou area and the Nanhu area are located in the south of Wuchang District, Wuhan, and are blocked by the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. The east-west traffic between the two areas is very inconvenient. From the Baishazhou area to the Nanhu area, it is necessary to detour from the Wutai Gate. After the completion of the railway bridge on Jian’an Street, the original half-hour journey will be shortened to less than 5 minutes, and the regional external traffic conditions will be greatly improved.
