Recently, the Ali Khan Bridge, a railway connection project of Bangladesh Padma Bridge undertaken by China Railway Bridge Bureau, was successfully erected.

According to reports, Ali Khan Bridge is the first-pass control project of the Bangladesh Railway Project. It is the first steel truss girder bridge on the whole line to start girder erection. The main girder has a span of 100 meters, a height of 12 meters, a width of 7 meters, and a weight of 968 tons. The builders of the China Railway Bridge Bureau and the designers of the China Railway Second Institute insisted on technological innovation, and the steel truss beams were erected using in-situ assembly and multi-span simply supported steel truss push construction technology. This construction method ensures the safety of operators, enhances quality process monitoring, and improves construction and production efficiency.

The successful completion of the erection of the steel truss girder of the Ali Khan Bridge has provided valuable experience for the construction of other steel truss girder bridges in the follow-up of the project, and provided an important guarantee for the acceleration of the construction of the first-pass section of the railway connection line of the Padma Bridge.
