At 18:00 on June 29, 2018, local time in Bangladesh, the erection of the first joint steel girder of the Padma Bridge was completed. On February 20, 2019, on the Padma River in Bangladesh, China's 10,000-ton-class center frame girder crane "Tianyi" erected steel beams with a total weight of more than 3,000 tons onto the bridge piers. The Bangladesh Padma Bridge project undertaken by China Railway Bridge Bureau Group Co., Ltd. completed the erection of the seventh-span steel girder of the main bridge on the 20th. So far, the first kilometer of the main bridge of the Padma Bridge has been presented to the world.
