In Iraq in the Middle East, the main power grid suffers from outages for several hours a day throughout the year. With households relying on air conditioners, the power shortage will worsen. Although some families of the Iraqi people have purchased air-conditioning and other facilities, they cannot use them. The country’s infrastructure has been destroyed since the Iraq War, especially the power system. Although they are rich in oil resources, the power system has never been developed. We all know that the development of modern industry is inseparable not only from oil but also from electricity. Therefore, if Iraq wants to develop better, the first step must be to solve the problem of electricity supply. This is also the "heart disease" of the Iraqi government all the time.

Recently, according to foreign media reports, the Iraqi government has signed a 2,000-megawatt solar power station project with China Power Construction Corporation. Later, the Iraqi government added on its official Twitter that the first batch of electricity capacity of the project was 750 megawatts. The Iraqi people have expressed their great welcome to China for coming to build such a large project. If there is an Iraqi, he will preach: It’s great! Chinese civilization has created the prosperity of the world. Thank you China and applaud China.

In fact, China has already built too many power stations in Iraq before. Now nearly one-third of Iraq’s population uses the "Iraqi Huashide Power Plant" invested and constructed by Chinese companies.

The solar power station that China will build in Iraq will not only be able to build another stable power station in Iraq, but it will also be a good time to show the world its solar power technology.

Iran has already had solar power generation, but these solar products are things that consume relatively little electricity like street lights, and cannot be used for large appliances. Iraq had found the United States before and wanted to cooperate with the United States to build a solar power station in Iraq. However, the United States told the Iraqi government that the cost of solar power generation is six or seven times that of traditional energy generation. This is a direct statement that the United States cannot cooperate with Iraq Cooperation in the construction of solar power stations.

In fact, Iraq’s geographical location is very conducive to the development of solar power generation, but the United States found a reason to reject Iraq’s request for cooperation when it wanted to get more oil from Iraq. But China was very willing to help other countries' infrastructure construction, so China agreed to Iraq's request. China’s solar power generation technology may have been constrained by the United States and other Western countries five or six years ago, but China has a kind of superpower. The more you suppress things, the better China can develop and even surpass them. . China's solar power generation materials such as monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, amorphous silicon and other materials can already be produced by itself. At the same time, China is willing to help Iraq build the price will certainly not be too high, it must be within the budget of Iraq.

Some experts analyzed that China is not only technically okay, but now China’s installed wind and solar power generation capacity and installed capacity are the world’s largest and have good power generation efficiency. Therefore, Iraq’s choice of China is definitely not wrong. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
