Recently, the Burundi Company of China Henan International Cooperation Group and the National Highway Administration of Burundi formally signed the implementation contract for the 52-kilometer road project of Burundi RN3. This project is the largest project signed so far since China Henan International Cooperation Group entered the Burundi market.

The project is located in Rumengue and Nianza provinces in southwestern Burundi, adjacent to the Tanzanian border. The funding parties are the Arab Bank, the Kuwait Fund, the Saudi Fund, and the Oil Exporting Countries Development Fund and other four international financial institutions. The implementation of the project will successfully open up the main traffic arteries between Burundi and Tanzania, greatly promote bilateral trade, drive local economic development, and improve local people's livelihood conditions.
