Deep Sea One accelerates the construction of a trillion cubic meters of large gas area. At 22:10 on August 30, 2021, China’s first self-operated ultra-deep water large gas field "Deep Sea One" was successfully completed for the first time. At 00:10 on the 31st, the gas field was fully loaded with more than 9,000 tons of condensate oil. The "Beihai New Hope" tanker slowly left the gas field and arrived at Zhuhai Port. The condensate of the tanker will be processed into refined oil by the refinery.

This is the first time that CNOOC has used a dynamic positioning tanker for operations, and it is also the first time in China. To ensure the export of "Deep Sea One" condensate oil, CNOOC International Trade Beihai Shipping Company, a subsidiary of CNOOC, has specially built the first domestic vessel. The dynamic positioning tanker "Beihai New Hope" will be delivered in July 2021.
Compared with ordinary oil tankers, "Beihai New Hope" has a DP2 dynamic positioning system and a highly automated central control system. It has better anti-wind and wave capabilities and positioning capabilities, and its emergency relief system is sensitive and safe, allowing it to operate in The sea area with rough waves and the deepest water depth of more than 1,500 meters, berthed steadily next to the "Deep Sea No. 1" energy station, with a positioning error of less than 1 meter, and completed the oil transportation operation smoothly and efficiently.

The natural gas produced in the "Deep Sea No. 1" ultra-deep water large gas field will condense some liquid components, that is, condensate oil. Compared with crude oil produced in ordinary oil fields, the condensate oil is flammable and explosive, so it is produced, stored, and externally. Transportation safety risks are high. The first operation of "Deep Sea One" is difficult and the safety risks are high. To ensure the smooth operation, the Hainan Branch of the Co., Ltd. analyzed the operation risks in advance and carefully formulated the operation plan.
In daily production, they strengthen the management of condensate. For example: Use nitrogen to cover the top of the oil storage tank of the energy station to maintain the positive pressure of the tank; do a good job of condensate entering the tank, and monitor the liquid level, temperature and tank pressure in real time. In addition to real-time monitoring with radar sensing devices, every day A dedicated person will go to the site for manual measurement; do a good job of ballasting at the energy station to ensure the stability of the hull.
"The first ship of condensate is transported, and we have made enough preparations," said Qin Lifeng, general manager of Hainan Lingshui-Yacheng Operation Company. The simulated deployment of oil tankers was carried out on August 9. We conducted a trial berthing and joint commissioning of the tanker on August 9. We held several meetings to analyze operational risks, clarify countermeasures, and inspect relevant equipment one by one in accordance with the requirements of the standard."

Ten days ago, the natural gas produced by the "Deep Sea No. 1" ultra-deep water gas field successfully landed across 691 kilometers of submarine pipelines and directly connected to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The peak annual output of "Deep Sea No. 1" natural gas can reach 3 billion cubic meters. This has increased the natural gas supply capacity of the entire South China Sea from the original 10 billion cubic meters per year to more than 13 billion cubic meters per year, which can meet nearly half of the natural gas consumption in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
