On August 27, 2021, China National Machinery Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CMEC") signed an EPC general contract for the "Nigeria Aigbyma Power Station Restoration Project" in the form of a video conference with Nigeria’s Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) .

At the signing ceremony, NDPHC general manager Chiedu Ubo gave a speech first. He fully recognized the experience and strength of CMEC and was happy to be able to cooperate with CMEC again. He also particularly emphasized the importance of this project to the Nigerian power market, hoping to start construction as soon as possible, and said that NDPHC will give CMEC full support during the implementation of the project.

The total installed capacity of the project is 378MW, which is a single-cycle gas turbine power generation project. The restoration projects that CMEC is responsible for mainly include the design, civil engineering, installation, commissioning, and reliable operation of the power station.

Fang Yanshui reviewed the course of cooperation between CMEC and NDPHC, and said that the signing of this project is the result of long-term sincere cooperation between the two teams. The project is executed well, and it is hoped that taking this project as an opportunity, the two parties can carry out new and broader cooperation in the fields of power station repair and expansion, power transmission and transformation, and new energy.
