On September 6, 2021, CAMCE and Yildirim Group of Turkey signed the EPC contract for the 500,000-ton annual soda ash plant project in Zhambyl Region, Kazakhstan in the form of on-site video "cloud signing".
The project is located in the Zhambul Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A new soda ash plant with an annual output of 500,000 tons will be built. The scope of the project includes supporting facilities such as soda ash process production area, bittern mining area, limestone mining area and residential area. After several rounds of fierce competition, the three companies of CAMCE, SAMACO and Dalian Dahua formed a consortium and finally stood out. The owner of the project, Yildirim Holding Group, is strong, mainly engaged in the import and export trade of dry bulk cargo, including coal, bauxite, cement, slag and mineral products. Yildirim Group is currently one of Turkey's largest importers and sellers of Russian coal trading business.
On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Turkey, Minister Counselor Liu expressed his warm congratulations on the signing of the project and said that 2021 coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Turkey. The signing of the project will further enhance political mutual trust and practical cooperation between China and Turkey.
