On September 6, 2021, the cast-in-situ beam of the last hole of the mobile formwork of the Fuxia High-speed Rail Meizhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge designed by the Fourth Railway Institute and constructed by the 11th Bureau of China Railways was successfully poured, marking the largest movement of the domestic high-speed rail at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The formwork completes the task of making beams at sea.

The Meizhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge passes Putian City and Quanzhou City, with a total length of 14.7 kilometers, of which the sea area construction length is about 10.8 kilometers, which is the longest sea area construction section of the Fuxia Railway. The main bridge of the bridge adopts a (96.8+180+96.8)-meter prestressed concrete partially cable-stayed bridge. The 3000-ton main channel is planned to cross the Meizhou Bay, which effectively solves the problem of setting the rail temperature regulator for the long-span crossing the channel on the curve. The main tower adopts a double-column bridge tower with a height of 30 meters above the bridge deck. The bridge tower separates into two independent tower columns at the point where the pier and tower beams are consolidated, in an inverted Y shape.

Except for the continuous girder, the bridge adopts a 40.6-meter box girder design. It is the only bridge with a 40.6-meter box girder on the Fu-Xia high-speed railway. Compared with the traditional 32-meter box girder, the area occupied by the 40.6-meter box girder is reduced by 20%, which not only increases the navigation capacity, but also reduces the impact of tides on the piers and improves the safety of the cross-sea bridge. The realization of large-scale engineering applications of simply supported beams with spans ranging from 32 meters to 40 meters in the construction of high-speed railways is a major improvement and breakthrough in high-speed railway construction technology.

Due to the strong winds and sturdy waves and obvious tides in the sea area of Meizhou Bay, the high-grade concrete poured has low slump and high difficulty in pouring. The 40.6-meter box girder needs continuous pouring and one-time molding. The box girder weighing 1,000 tons is safe for construction equipment. And reliability puts forward extremely high requirements.

For this reason, the project department adopted an upward mobile formwork for construction. Compared with the traditional downward mobile formwork, it has a higher degree of mechanization. It can realize the overall sliding and precise positioning of the inner and outer formwork of the box girder, as well as continuous Cyclic operation meets the requirements of technology, economy, structural and operational stability, and ease of construction. At the same time, the single-hole construction cycle is fast, labor-saving, and labor intensity is low, and it is not restricted by the site under the bridge, which greatly reduces the occupation of land and the damage to the ecological environment.

The 40.6-meter large-span cast-in-situ beam with movable formwork was used for the first time in the construction of high-speed railways, and there is no construction experience to learn from. Since the construction of the cast-in-situ beam for the first hole of the mobile formwork in June 2019, the builders of the China Railway 11th Bureau have combined with the construction characteristics of the sea area to increase scientific research and overcome the disadvantages of frequent typhoons and large temperature differences between day and night in coastal areas, and ensure safety Under the premise of quality, the construction progress of the project is accelerated, and the construction of the cast-in-place beams with the movable formwork for each hole takes only 20 days, which greatly improves the construction efficiency. At present, the Meizhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge has completed 56 patent applications, and 6 scientific research results have been identified as international advanced levels, which has accumulated valuable experience for the construction of cast-in-place beams with large-span mobile formwork in the future.

The Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is 277.42 kilometers long. It is an important channel for high-speed railways along the southeast coast and my country's first cross-sea high-speed railway. The line starts from Fuzhou in the north and passes through Putian and Quanzhou to Xiamen and Zhangzhou. There are 7 stations on the whole line. After the completion and opening to traffic, the driving time from Fuzhou to Xiamen will be shortened to less than one hour, and the "Golden Triangle" of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou will form a half-hour traffic circle, which is of great significance for promoting the rapid development of the southeast coastal city cluster.
