In order to accelerate the realization of the goal of building a strong transportation country, open up the artery of economic development. By the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the operating mileage of the Yangtze River Delta Railway reached 17,000 kilometers, and the high-speed rail mileage was about 9,500 kilometers, an increase of 4200 kilometers and 3,500 kilometers respectively from the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan" period.

One city and three provinces in the Yangtze River Delta are resonating at the same frequency, accelerating the construction of the "Yangtze River Delta on Track". The reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that many major projects including the Shanghai-Suhu Railway and the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taiwan Railway have made new progress recently.

A person from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. stated that the investment in infrastructure construction in the Yangtze River Delta is expected to exceed 75 billion yuan in 2021, and it is expected to reach 1 trillion yuan during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

Major railway projects welcome major progress

According to the "Multi-level Rail Transit Plan in the Yangtze River Delta" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission in June 2021, by 2025, the "Yangtze River Delta on Tracks" will be basically completed, forming trunk railways, intercity railways, urban (suburban) railways, Urban rail transit is a multi-level rail transit system. The total mileage of rail transit will reach more than 22,000 kilometers, and the newly added mileage will exceed 8,000 kilometers. Among them, the operating mileage of the intercity railway network must reach 1,500 kilometers, and the adjacent large cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Ningbo and surrounding cities, will form an intercity traffic circle of 1 to 1.5 hours. The operating mileage of the urban railway network must reach 1,000 kilometers, and the Shanghai metropolitan area and the Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, and Ningbo metropolitan areas will form a half-hour to one-hour commuter traffic circle.

The reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. yesterday that in the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone, as a major new channel connecting Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, the Shanghai-Suhu Railway has moved from infrastructure construction to a stage of rapid advancement. At the same time, the extension of Shanghai Metro Line 17 also ushered in the opening of key points. After the intercity railway and subway are completed and opened to traffic, the journey from Shanghai to Huzhou will only take one hour, and the connection between the demonstration area and the central city will be closer.

The Shanghai-Suhu Railway starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station, passes through Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and ends at Huzhou Station in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The main line is about 163.8 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

Yan Chengqiang, deputy commander of the Shanghai Railway Hub Project Construction Headquarters of the Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd., said that after the completion of the line, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Hu Railway will be connected with the Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, Nanjing-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, and Hunan-Hangzhou High-speed Railway to jointly build the core area of the Yangtze River Delta. The international express railway passenger transport network will strengthen Shanghai’s radiating function to the core hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, and promote the high-quality development of regional integration.

Sun Fengxue, chief engineer of the Shanghai-Suhu Railway Project Department of China Railway 14th Bureau, said that according to the plan, the Shanghai-Suhu Railway will be completed in 2024. By then, the whole line will only take 1 hour one way.

In addition, the Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anqing-Jiujiang high-speed rail (hereinafter referred to as the Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anqing-Jiujiang high-speed rail) also received good news: the project was successfully completed on September 10. "The catenary power transmission is an important key node in the construction of electrified railways." A relevant person from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. told reporters that according to the plan, the Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anqing-Jiulong high-speed rail will be tested in the near future. It has the conditions for opening and operation before.

The Anjiu high-speed railway is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong channel, the main channel of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railways in the national medium and long-term railway network plan. After the completion of this high-speed rail, a fast and convenient passenger transport corridor will be added between the East China region along the Yangtze River and Central China, South China, and Southwest China.

The Yangtze River Delta Railway Construction Speeds Up Simultaneously

In other areas of the Yangtze River Delta, railway construction is also speeding up simultaneously. In Zhejiang, the construction of the Hangzhou-Taiwan high-speed rail project has entered the final stage. Up to now, the entire line of the station front project has been fully completed, the four power projects have completed more than 95%, and the station building has completed 80%. It is planned to complete the static acceptance in mid-September and meet the conditions for the connection and test. It will be put into operation at the end of December.

It is reported that after the completion of the Hangzhou-Taiwan high-speed rail, it will connect Shanghai-Kunming, Hangzhou-Shenzhen, Hangzhou-Huangzhou, Shanghe-Hangzhou, Nanjing-Hangzhou high-speed rails, and connect to the high-speed rail network in the Yangtze River Delta, forming a core area of the Yangtze River Delta that radiates southwestern Zhejiang and connects Hangzhou metropolitan areas. The fast access to the coastal cities of Wentai and Taiwan has shortened the railway travel time from Taizhou to Hangzhou from 2 hours to about 1 hour, expanding the scope of Zhejiang's "1 hour traffic circle".

At the Huhang Railway construction site, the key project Fuchunjiang Bridge was successfully closed at the end of August. As a key supporting project for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and an important node project of the "Yangtze River Delta on Tracks", the Huhang Railway is the main backbone of the national high-speed railway network, the southern extension of the Shanghe-Hangzhou Railway and the Nanjing-Hangzhou Railway, as well as the Yangtze River Delta intercity railway network. Part.

Data show that Zhejiang Province completed a railway investment of 4.22 billion yuan in August, and completed an annual investment of 33.61 billion yuan by the end of August (according to physical statistics).

In Jiangsu, on August 29th, the only turning bridge across the entire Nanyan River Intercity Railway-the continuous continuous beams of the turning of the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway Bridge was successfully closed. Among the projects planned to start construction in Jiangsu in 2021, railway projects such as the Beiyanjiang High-speed Railway, Tongsu-jiayong Railway, Yantaixi-Changyi Railway, Hexin Railway, etc., are accelerating the preliminary work and striving to start construction as soon as possible. It is reported that in 2021, Jiangsu plans to complete the investment of 170.3 billion yuan in transportation infrastructure construction and start 18 major projects to ensure the completion of railway investment of 58.2 billion yuan throughout the year.
