On September 7, 2021, the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Innovation Base was unveiled in Xiamen, Fujian. 28 projects highlighting the quality of the BRICS with a total investment of up to 13.404 billion yuan were signed under the witness of guests at home and abroad.

The BRICS countries are cooperating in new industries and related service areas, including 19 projects in Russia, 13 in India, 16 in Brazil, and 11 in South Africa. The Xiamen BRICS Office stated that it welcomes people from all walks of life from abroad to jointly promote the construction of the base, and continuously enrich the connotation of BRICS cooperation, and build the base into a more "open and inclusive, win-win cooperation" platform.
