Recently, China Super Grain Group Tanzania Company received 80,000 acres of land (about 324 square kilometers) awarded by the government of the United Republic of Tanzania, marking that China's largest agricultural project in Africa has officially landed and entered the construction output stage.

China-Africa Agricultural Cooperation

At the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in 2019, Chaoliang Group and the Tanzania Agricultural Export Processing Zone signed an investment cooperation framework agreement for the Agricultural Export Processing Zone. According to the agreement, Chaoliang Group will build an 80,000-acre cooperative development park in southern Tanzania, including a 10,000-acre export processing zone and a 70,000-acre agricultural plantation park. After the completion of the project, through the agricultural product "purchase + planting" model, it is expected that approximately 2 million tons of new agricultural products will be exported every year.

The main port for exporting Tanzania’s agricultural products is Dar es Salaam, which is located in the north, far from the agricultural production areas in the south, and has high logistics costs. Super Grain Group plans to transform the Masoko Port near the southern agricultural production area into a multi-functional terminal, with 3,500 acres of new town, logistics, and airport services to fundamentally solve the problem of high transportation costs for agricultural exports. The project is planned to be constructed and operated jointly with Chinese port operators.

Super Grain Group has been deeply involved in Africa for 17 years. It has the most mature professional team in China's small agricultural products trading industry and the most complete industrial chain layout of China-Africa agricultural cooperation. It is the world's largest integrated service platform for small agricultural products. Optimistic about the broad prospects of Xiang-African cooperation and the leading role of China-Africa in-depth economic and trade cooperation pilot zone, Chaoliang Group plans to establish Chaoliang Group Southern Center in Hunan, and is currently negotiating site selection in the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone.

According to reports, the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo signed a total of 81 projects, and the overall progress is currently smooth. Yuan’s Seed Industry has entered the formal implementation stage for hybrid rice planting in Nigeria and Longping’s development of corn planting in Ghana; the second phase of the CITIC Dicastal Morocco aluminum wheel project was put into production; the investment and operation entity of the Hunan Industrial Park in Uganda was registered and established, and the land transfer procedures are being promoted; Jihua Yueyang In the new material Côte d’Ivoire natural rubber processing project, one of the five factories has been completed and put into operation, with a total investment of about 100 million US dollars.
