On September 11, 2021, at the 2021 Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port Cooperation Summit and China-ASEAN Port Cities Cooperation Network Forum held in Nanning, Guangxi, COSCO SHIPPING’s Beibu Gulf Port "Qinzhou Port-Chittagong" South Asia YCX line successfully launched Voyage. With Qinzhou as the starting point, a closed route of Qinzhou Port-Hainan Yangpu-Klang Chittagong-Singapore-Qinzhou Port was formed, achieving zero breakthroughs in the South Asian route of Beibu Gulf Port Qinzhou Port Area and ringing the "new camel bell" on the Maritime Silk Road.

At 14:00 that day, COSCO SHIPPING’s “Caiyunhe” steamer whistle sounded at Berth 2 of Beibu Gulf Container Terminal (Dalanping South Operation Area, Qinzhou Port) under COSCO SHIPPING Ports, and the “Qinzhou Port-Chittagong” South Asia YCX route was officially launched The maiden voyage provides direct import and export services from Qinzhou Port to Bangladesh, Singapore and other countries for hinterland customers, which is more time-efficient and economical than the original barge shipping method.

The first South Asia route of "Qinzhou Port-Chittagong" of Beibu Gulf Port is operated by COSCO SHIPPING Group. At this stage, three 1,200-box container ships have been put into use, calling on weekly shifts. This is also the first direct route to Bangladesh among the three newly opened Southeast Asia routes by Beibu Gulf Port in 2021. At present, there are 22 routes between Beibu Gulf Port and ASEAN countries.

Up to now, there are 54 domestic and foreign trade container routes in Beibu Gulf Port, which basically cover ASEAN countries and major coastal ports across the country. Among them, COSCO SHIPPING has opened 10 domestic and foreign trade routes in Beibu Gulf Port: foreign trade routes can directly reach Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Africa, Brazil and other regions; domestic trade routes connect Jinzhou, Yingkou, Tianjin, Rizhao, Lianyungang, Ningbo, Quanzhou, Gaolan, Zhanjiang, Haikou, Xiaochan Beach and other places.
