On September 13, 2021, PowerChina signed a contract for the construction of a new international airport in Dodoma Masarato, Tanzania. The signing and implementation of this project will lay a solid foundation for the further development of China Power Construction's infrastructure construction in Tanzania.

The project is located in the Masarato District of Dodoma City, the political capital of Tanzania, about 15 kilometers from the city center and 460 kilometers from the economic capital Dares Salaam. The project period is 36 months. The construction content of the project mainly includes new apron, taxiway, take-off runway, airport drainage and electrical and mechanical installation. The successful signing of the project reflects the Tanzanian government’s affirmation of PowerChina. The implementation of the project will enhance the transportation connectivity of the political capital Dodoma, benefit international trade in the entire East African region, help local employment creation and speed up central and western Tanzania Regional social and economic development.
