Currently, Mexico is carrying out important road projects. One of the projects is the Atizapan-Atlacomulco highway. Another key project is the construction of a highway section connecting the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense of Mexico City and the new international airport. These projects are executed by Aleatica and the total contract value is US$1.1 billion.

Among these projects, the construction of Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) has caused a lot of controversy in Mexico. Mexico City’s current international airport has exceeded its capacity for many years, and there have been plans for a new airport for some time. In order to solve the capacity problem, the former Mexican government approved a plan for a large-scale project at the New Mexico City International Airport (NAICM).
