It is reported that the plateau railway tunnel is 37.9 kilometers long, and the tunnel entrance section of the China Railway Tunnel Bureau is 20.675 kilometers. The tunnel is an extra-long and deep-buried tunnel with extremely complex geological conditions, requiring long distances and large cross-sections to pass through high seismic intensity active areas, etc. It is a very high-risk tunnel and is a world-class tunnel construction problem.

In view of the extreme construction environment of the tunnel, China Railway Tunnel Bureau and China Railway Equipment Group carried out a targeted design for the "Snow Pioneer" TBM:

For efficient rock-breaking and tunneling in long-distance, hard-rock environments, a reinforced cutter head design and a reasonable cutter spacing design for heavy-duty hobs are adopted. At the same time, the TBM main bearing is also specially designed to meet the long-term requirements of TBM under extreme conditions. Distance tunneling.

In response to rockburst geology, an integrated rockburst detection system is installed, which can monitor rockburst disasters 24 hours a day, greatly improving the safety of construction in rockburst areas.

For the construction of fault fracture zone, set up L1 zone mixing and spraying manipulator, equipped with steel arch frame, tube piece assembly integrated device, set up auxiliary propulsion system, equipped with advanced grouting reinforcement design to improve the stability of surrounding rock.

In the construction of mud and water gushing formations, an independent advanced pipe shed drilling rig and grouting system are configured to effectively carry out advanced geological reinforcement in time.

"Snow Pioneer" is the largest diameter TBM of the domestic railway, with a total length of 245 meters and a weight of approximately 2500 tons. It will excavate over 18 kilometers on the right line of the plateau tunnel, with an excavation diameter of 10.33 meters, and a maximum advancing speed of 100 per minute. Millimeters, it can be formed in a complex plateau geological environment equivalent to a 4-story tunnel.

In order to explore the "less humanization" and "unmannedness" of TBM construction in plateau and high-cold areas, China Railway Tunnel Bureau empowered the "Snow Pioneer" smart tunneling technology, and built 16 projects with ground remote control as the core in the office area of the project department. System-integrated intelligent construction center. The intelligent construction center has six core modules, namely remote control functions, intelligent tunneling, fault self-diagnosis, environmental health monitoring, big data platform + group intelligent interconnection, online status intelligent monitoring and other functions.

The builder can realize the remote control of TBM construction in the intelligent construction center, which can completely replace all the operations in the main control room in the cave, and has all control functions such as TBM tunneling and step change.

The launch of "Snow Pioneer" realized the remote control of China Railway TBM construction for the first time, and provided a solid foundation for improving the safety, convenience and continuity of TBM tunneling in extremely harsh and complex environments.
