In the context of the gradual deepening of economic globalization, the signing of free trade agreements between countries has accelerated. According to sources from the Ministry of Commerce, on September 16, China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao submitted a written letter to China's official application to join the CPTPP to O'Connor, the depositary of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), New Zealand Minister of Trade and Export Growth. The ministers of the two countries also held a teleconference to communicate on the follow-up work related to China's formal application for membership.

According to the joint statement, the CPTPP consensus on the new structure will retain more than 95% of the original TPP projects, and only shelve 20 clauses, 11 of which are related to intellectual property rights. In the existing agreement signed in February 2016 that included the United States, the new agreement focused on projects written at the request of the United States, and frozen the effectiveness of 20 projects. Although the CPTPP is still the highest level of economic and trade freedom mechanism from the framework point of view, the shelving of 20 clauses is tantamount to abandoning the original TPP5% of the project. The CPTPP is not only shrinking but also less comprehensive.

In order to further open up to the outside world, deepen multilateral trade, and promote economic growth, representatives of the 11 member states that participated in the CPTPP previously stated in a statement that this agreement will strengthen mutually beneficial ties between member economies and promote trade in the Asia-Pacific region. , Investment and economic growth. The member states will work hard to push the legislature to complete the CPTPP approval and push the agreement to take effect as soon as possible. According to data from the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CPTPP covers 498 million people, and the combined GDP accounts for 13% of the global economy. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
