On September 16, 2021, Kyrgyz President Zaparov met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Dushanbe.

Zaparov asked Wang Yi to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping, expressing Kyrgyzstan's view of China as a good neighbor, good friend and trustworthy good partner, and thanks China for providing Kyrgyzstan with vaccines and food assistance. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates China's active international cooperation in vaccines and anti-epidemic activities, which has played a leading role in building a health community.

China and Kyrgyzstan jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative

Kyrgyzstan is firmly committed to the comprehensive development of Kyrgyzstan-China relations, firmly supports China on issues related to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Xinjiang, and resolutely opposes interference by external forces in China's internal affairs. We are willing to work with China to strengthen cooperation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road and deepen bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation, which will create a good business environment for foreign investors, including China. The two sides should work together to combat the "three forces", respond to global challenges such as cybercrime, transnational crime, and drug crime, and work together to maintain regional security and stability.

Wang Yi conveyed President Xi Jinping’s cordial greetings to President Zaparov and congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the 30th anniversary of independence. Said that China has been, is and will be a good neighbor and partner of Kyrgyzstan in the past, and sincerely hopes that Kyrgyzstan will achieve long-term stable development, continue to promote the process of national rejuvenation, and will continue to support Kyrgyzstan in taking a development path that suits its own national conditions and support Kyrgyzstan in safeguarding its national independence and sovereignty. And territorial integrity, and oppose external forces to interfere in Kyrgyzstan’s internal affairs under any pretext.

China is willing to continue to provide active support for Kyrgyzstan's fight against the epidemic, and will encourage capable and reputable enterprises to invest in Kyrgyzstan, helping Kyrgyzstan to restore its economy and improve people's livelihood. Both China and Kyrgyzstan are close neighbors of Afghanistan. Both sides should further enhance the level of law enforcement cooperation to prevent the "Eastern Iraq Movement" and other violent and terrorist forces from returning to cause chaos, and to prevent external forces from replicating the Arab chaos in Central Asia. China appreciates Kyrgyzstan's support for China's legitimate position on human rights issues, and is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan to uphold the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and oppose the politicization of human rights issues.
