On September 13, 2021, Guangdong Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. issued the "Draft Public Opinion on Environmental Impact Assessment of the Zhuhai-Jiangmen Section of the New Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-speed Railway". According to the project’s environmental assessment report, the Zhuhai-Jiangmen section of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing high-speed rail line has been released in detail. The feasibility study of the project has been completed and construction is expected to start in 2022. The total investment of the project is 17.75 billion yuan and the planned construction period is 4 years.

Zhuhai-Jiangmen Section of Zhuhai-Zhuhai High-speed Railway

The Zhuhai-Jiangmen section of the Zhuhai-Zhuhai high-speed rail project starts from Hezhou Island in Zhuhai, with elevated Hezhou Station in the south of Xianghai Expressway. After exiting the station, it crosses the Western Coastal Expressway, Provincial Highway 365, and Jiangzhu Expressway to the north, from Doumen Zhuhaoling to the north. Passed by bypassing the west side of the reserve, and then crossing the Luozhou River Waterway, Hema River Waterway and Laolao River to Jiangmen to the northwest, along the eastern side of Baizu Mountain to Longkou Mountain, and bypassing the high voltage of 500kV Guifeng Substation along the eastern side of Baizu Mountain. Corridor, then cross the Hukeng Waterway and gradually approach the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway. Before crossing the Jiangmen Waterway, the Guantian Line Station will be introduced.

The main line of the Zhuhai-Jiangmen section of the newly built Zhuhai-Zhaoqing high-speed rail is 44.352km long, of which the right line of the Jiangmen section is 4.288km long. There are 2 stations in Zhuhai Hezhou and Jiangmen (excluding) on the whole line. In addition, it also includes the supporting works of Zhuhai Hezhou Station EMU. The length of EMU is 2.674 km per line.

The railway grade of this project is high-speed railway, adopting electric traction, and the design speed target value: 350km/h. Land acquisition of 358.66hm2 is required for the whole line; 5,278,700 m3 of earth and stone works are required. The estimated total project investment is 17.75 billion yuan. The total construction period is 4 years.

Zhuhai Hezhou Station (newly built)

Zhuhai Hezhou Station is located on Hezhou Island, Zhuhai City. The station is an elevated station with a horizontal layout. The center mileage of the station is CK1+480. From east to west, there are Zhuzhao Field, Guangzhou-Zhuhai Macao Field, and Intercity Field. The Zhuhai-Zhuhai High-speed Railway runs through Zhuzhao Field to Hengqin Station. A crossover line from Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Australia) Field to Hengqin is set up. Construct a bus route from Hengqin Station to Guangzhou (Shenzhen).

The plan will introduce the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity to the Zhuzhao site in the lateral direction. Since all the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity buses need to stop at Zhuhai Hezhou Station for operation, the introduction of the lateral direction has no impact on the operation of the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity Bus; to meet the Shenzhen direction Establish a vertical folding car demand, and set up one vertical folding car line at the Shenzhen end of Zhuzhaochang.

The total scale of the station is 10 stations and 22 lines (including the main line). Among them, the Zhuzhao field has 5 stations and 11 lines, and the northern end reserves the conditions for the introduction of high-speed rail to Zhanjiang; the Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macau) station has 3 stations and 7 lines; Guangfo The scale of the Jiangzhu Intercity Field is 2 sets and 4 lines.

Zhuhai Hezhou EMU Operation Station (newly built)

Zhuhai Hezhou High-speed Railway Application Station has a total scale of 54 storage lines (line 1 and 2 positions), 10 line inspection warehouse (1 line and 2 positions), undertaking primary and secondary maintenance of EMUs in Zhuhai and adjacent Zhongshan and Jiangmen regions . Among them, this line project has recently implemented 20 car storage lines and 4 line inspection warehouses.

The train station and the station's high-speed rail yard are newly built 2 moving lines to connect, and 2 moving lines are reserved to connect with the intercity yard of the station, and the newly built moving lines are 2.674 single-track km in length. A new maintenance workshop is newly built on the east side of the throat of the south arrival (departure) end of the EMU, and the newly-built moving line is used to connect with the station and the section.

According to reports, the project is an important component of the Zhuhai-Zhuhai high-speed railway and the Shenzhen-South high-speed railway. It is a new high-speed passage that greatly enhances the ability of the Greater Bay Area to radiate from the west of Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong to the southwest. It is to promote the development of the core city of Macau in the Bay Area. The national road network, the high-speed rail link that promotes the integration and communication between Macau and the vast mainland; it is a component of the Guangzhou-Foshan River-Zhuhai Intercity Railway, and forms a connection with the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity Line to connect Zhuhai-Macao with Shenzhen-Hong Kong, Guangzhou-Foshan and supports the three major bay areas.
