In mid-to-late September, the summer heat on the sea gradually dissipated, and the autumn is getting stronger. As the "National Day" approaches, the limited Shenzhen Xijiang 24-3B platform is undergoing hydraulic fracturing operations, and the scene is busy.

This operation is not only the "first show" of hydraulic fracturing operations on the production platform in the eastern South China Sea, it also refreshed the depth record of hydraulic fracturing operations for offshore oil wells in China to 4697 meters.

On the drill floor, there are many people's shadows. Operators are busy making preparations for pressurizing the oil well. The entire platform has been preparing for the "first show" of this hydraulic fracturing operation on the production platform in the east of the South China Sea for a long time.

Well B14 on the Xijiang 24-3B platform was given the expectation of "developing shallow reservoirs while taking into account deep geological reservoirs" at the beginning of the design. Due to the complex formation conditions, only shallow oil reservoirs will be released at the beginning of production in 2020. In order to further release the deep productivity of Well B14, Shenzhen Co., Ltd. and the CNOOC Oilfield Production Division have jointly tackled key problems and tried hydraulic fracturing to tap the potential of the formation and open up new ideas for increasing offshore oil and gas reserves and production.

In the past three months, in order to refine the operation plan and coordinate the equipment resources, Cui Yingbin, the director of underground operations, and the team members have survived an unknown number of days and nights. Now that substantive work is finally about to begin, Cui Yingbin still dare not relax a little bit in his heart.

This operation will use a large number of fracturing equipment, including more than 20 sets of large-scale complete equipment groups and a large number of operating materials. There are nearly a hundred times of lifting operations alone. How to plan the equipment arrangement in a limited space and ensure smooth operation is a A difficult problem in front of Cui Yingbin and the team members. After two days of "platooning", one piece of equipment and one fracturing pipeline were arranged in an orderly manner and the drill floor was connected.

"Start the fracturing pump!" After a night of preparations, at 6:30 in the morning, the fracturing leader Zhang Yongchao issued a loud instruction from everyone's walkie-talkie on site.

In the next 20 hours, 133 cubic meters of ceramsite was "propelled" into the crevices of the formation with the operating pressure of up to 68 MPa with the fracturing fluid, building a "highway" for deep reservoir collection. Twenty sets of equipment were buzzing and running, adding a bit of tension to the entire platform.

At 5 o'clock in the morning the next day, Cui Yingbin looked at the stabilizing curve on the computer screen of the data mining room, and he breathed a long sigh of relief. The main stage of hydraulic fracturing was successfully completed, setting the record for the depth of hydraulic fracturing operations in offshore oil wells in my country to 4697 meters.

The gratifying news reached the Xijiang Oilfield operation area as soon as possible.

"The happiest thing for reservoir people is to use our own research and development equipment to solve the problem of geological reservoir development." Gao Xiaofei, the chief engineer of the operation area of Xijiang Oilfield, said with excitement.
