The contract value of the project was 650 million. Euro, about 5 billion yuan.

The Niger River Flood Control and Water Control Project is a long-planned project by the Nigerian government. It aims to solve the problem of flooding of the Niger River in the territory during the flood season and to effectively develop and utilize water resources. The project plans to build flood storage reservoirs, build flood control embankments, develop inland waterways, construct river ports, agricultural irrigation systems, etc. The first phase of the project includes the overall feasibility study, detailed design and the first phase of the project. The Niger River flood control and water control project is the largest overseas project that China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau has won by far.
