On September 20-23, 2021, the Lijia Jialing River Bridge, invested by China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau and constructed by China Construction Tunnel, successfully completed its load test. This load test fully inspected the construction quality and structural force performance of the bridge, determined the actual operating conditions and use conditions of the bridge, and provided a scientific basis for the completion acceptance and putting into operation.

At 1:55 a.m. on August 21, 2020, the second horizontal line project of Chongqing Expressway crossed the main line bridges of Weijing and Caige railways. The "three lines and five bridges" clustered successfully and broke many world records. 2 years of construction, 2 months of planning, 2 weeks of layout, 2 days of trial and commissioning, 82 minutes of official rotation, 5 21,500-ton bridges in the air to achieve precise docking.
Why rotate construction?
As a key livelihood project in Chongqing, the second horizontal line project of the expressway needs to cross 10 railway lines, of which five bridges need to cross the three busy railway lines of the Weijing upper line, the lower line, and the Caige connection line. There is a train passing by every minute. When the railway is operating at high speed, all construction along the line must be suspended.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the railway, the contractor, China Construction Tunnel, after a lot of analysis and research, communicated with the design and the railway company many times, and finally proposed boldly and innovatively the five bridges to adopt the "synchronous rotating construction" program, that is, "ex-situ pouring first" , "Post-synchronous rotation" bridge construction program. That is to say, the project will first build five bridges on the expressway, and then synchronously rotate and connect during the 90-minute railway night "skylight period".
