On September 30, 2021, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced that my country’s Bohai Sea has made another large-scale oil and gas discovery-Kenli 10-2 oil field, which has been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and has proven crude oil reserves of more than 100 million tons.

Kenli 10-2 oil field is located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, about 245 kilometers from Tianjin City, with an average water depth of about 15.7 meters. After testing, the oil field can produce 81.55 tons of crude oil per well per day.

The successful discovery of the Kenli 10-2 oilfield broke the situation that the shallow layer of the Bohai Oilfield sag has never been discovered with a lithologic oil field of 100 million tons, which has important guiding significance for the exploration of similar basins. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
