Work is underway on the Oklahoma 8-km Gilcrease Highway project. The project is part of a broader project to upgrade the orbital highways around the city of Tulsa.

The toll road project cost 365.6 million US dollars, will have two lanes in either direction, and will provide a western ring road for the orbital highway in Tulsa. This section of the road includes two bridges across the Arkansas River, allowing traffic in both directions. There are 20 other bridges and four main interchanges at W 51st St, W 41st St, W 21st and US-412, as well as a 3m wide pedestrian and bicycle lane. The project will improve the connection between Tulsa Interstate 44 and the US412 Sand Springs Highway. The route was constructed by a joint venture between AECOM and Duit Construction for the Oklahoma Toll Road Administration (OTA) under a construction financing contract and is expected to be completed in mid-2022.Editor/Baohongying
