Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Longxi Liquid Hydrogen Production and Carbon Emission Demonstration Base Project in Gansu Province was officially held in the Hongteng Production Park in Gansu.

Implemented in two phases

According to reports, the Longxi·Liquid Hydrogen Production and Carbon Emission Demonstration Base Project has a total investment of 6.64 billion yuan and a total area of 1,240 acres. The project is implemented in two phases. The first phase of the project has a total investment of 3.523 billion yuan. The construction content includes an investment of 1.74 billion yuan in a liquid hydrogen production line with an annual output of 2,600 tons, an investment of 1.744 billion yuan in Hydrogen Energy Application Demonstration Zone A, and an investment of 39.33 million yuan in hydrogen refueling stations. The total investment of the second phase of the project is 3.117 billion yuan. The construction content includes an investment of 354 million yuan in a hydrogen energy logistics park, an investment of 2.31 billion yuan in an annual output of 3,900 tons of liquid hydrogen production line and an investment of 453 million yuan in area B of the hydrogen energy application demonstration zone. Construction will start in 2024.

The Longxi·Liquid Hydrogen Production and Carbon Emission Reduction Demonstration Base Project mainly covers six sections, including liquid hydrogen plants, hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing centers, test centers, transshipment centers, hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing centers, and hydrogen refueling stations. Including a 2,600-ton liquid hydrogen production line, a 3,900-ton liquid hydrogen production line, a hydrogen energy logistics park, a hydrogen energy application demonstration zone, and a hydrogen refueling station. After the project is fully completed, the annual sales income will be 617 million yuan. Among them, the annual output of liquid hydrogen is 2,600 tons, and the annual sales income is 65 million yuan.

In addition, the base plans to produce 30,000 tons of activated carbon for water purification, with an annual sales income of 300 million yuan; an annual output of 20,000 tons of carbon-based compound fertilizer, with an annual sales income of 60 million yuan; an annual output of 21 tons of carbon dioxide, with an annual sales income of 168 million yuan ; The annual output of biodiesel is 6,000 tons, and the annual sales income is 24 million yuan.

It is reported that the Longxi·Liquid Hydrogen Production and Carbon Emission Demonstration Base is an important component of the "One Park and Two Bases" demonstration project for the hydrogen energy industry in Dingxi, Gansu Province. With the implementation of this project, it will further promote Longxi to win the first opportunity in the new energy national strategic layout, actively promote industrial transformation and upgrading, achieve green development, and promote the high-quality development of the county economy. At the same time, the use of straw as a raw material to extract hydrogen for liquefaction, and the efficient use of straw, will change the regional agricultural planting structure, increase farmers' income, and help rural revitalization.
