The Vientiane Station of the China-Laos Railway built by China Railway Construction Group will be unveiled on October 6, 2021. Vientiane Station is the largest station of the China-Laos Railway. It is located in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The design scale is 3 sets of 5 lines (including the main line), and 2 sets of 2 lines are reserved. The station building covers an area of 14,543 square meters and can accommodate up to 2500 passengers.

It has been 8 years since the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward. Over the past eight years, the Belt and Road Initiative has continued to develop in cooperation, and has become the widest and largest international cooperation platform and the most popular international public product. In the past 8 years, what changes have overseas Chinese and Chinese people in the countries related to the Belt and Road Initiative feel? Since the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward more than 8 years ago, it has taken root, budded and bloomed, and some places have already produced fruit. Russia is the first group of countries to respond enthusiastically to the Belt and Road Initiative. At present, it seems that Russia has carried out a relatively good matchmaking cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Belt and Road Initiative. Moreover, Sino-Russian relations have reached the best level in history. We, overseas Chinese in Russia, have the deepest feelings.

Give a simple example. Whether in Moscow or St. Petersburg, there are signs in Chinese at airports and railway stations, and there are Chinese voice broadcasts at the airport. It makes us feel very kind. Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Russia cooperation has been further strengthened. Although the border exchanges between China and Russia have been affected a bit because of the epidemic, I believe that as the epidemic is gradually brought under effective control, the exchanges between China and Russia will become closer.

Our overseas Chinese in Russia are undoubtedly the beneficiaries of the Belt and Road Initiative. I myself am engaged in the work of Sino-Russian cultural exchanges. As the relations between China and Russia are getting closer, my business volume has greatly increased. Before the epidemic, we held various activities every year, including performances and exhibitions. The close Sino-Russian relationship can be reflected in my work. It turns out that when we hold some Chinese cultural festivals or cultural performances, one of the most troublesome things is that it is difficult to invite high-level local officials to participate. It's different now. Every time the event has not started, we can receive calls from Russian friends including the Duma deputies, hoping that we can reserve a few tickets for them. I think this shows that people's hearts are already attracting each other. We talk about the "five links" and the "people-to-people bond". This cannot be achieved in a short time, but we have already made a good start.

Participating in the construction of the One Belt One Road, overseas Chinese have the ability to play a unique role. We are familiar with the local language, laws and policies, customs and customs, and we also have certain contacts. This kind of understanding can only be achieved after years of experience. If we say that overseas Chinese are "cholarial horses", then they must come in handy to truly show their advantages. At present, our participation in the Belt and Road Initiative is basically relying on our own connections. To truly participate in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, relevant departments need to have corresponding coordination, communication and linkage mechanisms.

In addition to making good use of the existing "Maximum", we also hope that more "Maximum" will appear. Domestic overseas Chinese departments and organizations are relatively familiar with and understand overseas Chinese. Making good use of these mechanisms should and can promote overseas Chinese to better participate in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and play their role.

Since its inception, the Belt and Road Initiative has become more and more popular among the people. As an important platform for building a community with a shared future for mankind, the Belt and Road Initiative has far-reaching significance. Laos and China have a long-term security strategic partnership, and Laos is also a staunch supporter of the Belt and Road Initiative. In Laos, people have begun to enjoy the benefits of the Belt and Road Initiative.

On December 2, 2021, the China-Laos Railway will be opened to traffic as planned. The China-Laos Railway is a strategic docking project between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Laos’ “turning a land-locked country into a land-union country”. This is China's first overseas railway project that is mainly invested and constructed by China, jointly operated by China and Laos, and directly connected to China's railway network. This is also Laos's first railway of its own. One rail link is worth tens of thousands of gold. The economic increase brought by the China-Laos Railway to the places along the line is predictable. In the process of building the railway, local people in Laos received job opportunities and technical training, which boosted the surrounding economy. Moreover, in order to build the railway, access roads have been built in many remote mountainous areas. These access roads will serve the local people for a long time.

Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Laos have carried out many cooperations. In addition to the China-Laos Railway, there is also a satellite, a park and a highway. One satellite refers to the "Laos One" communications satellite. The project was officially launched on December 1, 2012, and was general contracted by China Asia-Pacific Mobile Communications Satellite Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. On November 21, 2015, the "Laos One" satellite was sent into space by the Long March 3B carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China. Since then, satellite operations have progressed steadily: in March 2016, satellites were delivered in orbit; in September, Lao Asia-Pacific Satellite Co., Ltd., a Sino-Lao joint venture responsible for the commercial operation of "Laos One", obtained permission from the Lao government to officially launch satellite communications and satellite TV. And terrestrial mobile communications.

In the past, Laos did not have its own cable TV. Today, the satellite TV coverage in Laos has exceeded 1/6 of the total population. Moreover, "Laos One" not only provides services for Lao's own institutions, but also covers the Indochina Peninsula and countries in the ASEAN region. It can be said that this satellite has built a platform for cultural exchanges between China, Laos and other ASEAN countries, allowing the people of ASEAN countries to better understand China through satellite TV programs.

A park refers to the Saiseta Comprehensive Development Zone. As a national-level cooperation project jointly determined by the governments of China and Laos, China’s only national-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zone in Laos, and an early harvest project in the One Belt One Road plan, after nearly 10 years of development, the Saiseta Comprehensive Development Zone has promoted Laos has played an important role in the process of industrialization and upgrading the level of economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos. At present, many international and local enterprises have settled in the park, which has increased employment opportunities and trained key technical personnel.

In addition, a 110-kilometer-long highway connecting Vientiane and the northern tourist city of Vang Vieng, led by China, was completed and opened to traffic at the end of last year. The mountain road that used to take 4 hours now only takes 1 hour. These projects are closely related to the people's livelihood in Laos. The ordinary people in Laos have seen tangible results and enjoyed tangible benefits. There are celebrities in Laos who write songs for the Belt and Road Initiative, and they are widely sung.

As overseas Chinese in Laos, our main task is to focus on the cooperation between China and Laos and do a good job of cooperation. Give full play to our role as a bridge, provide a platform, and do a good job of supporting it, and at the same time strive to pass the information of China to the Lao people, and pass the information of Laos to the Chinese people. 2021 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, and it is also the year of China-Laos friendship. I believe that under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the friendship between China and Laos will get better and better.

The Belt and Road Initiative, a community with a shared future for mankind, China's ideas can be described as one chain and one chain. These ideas are undoubtedly grand visions. As overseas Chinese, we must have "one mind and two sides" for the Belt and Road Initiative. Overseas Chinese and Chinese people love their ancestral (home) country and their country of residence. The Belt and Road Initiative will have a positive impact on both China and our country of residence, and it will be a win-win cooperation. We should learn to study the Belt and Road Initiative and look for opportunities that can make a difference. One of the "two sides" is cultural propaganda. It is necessary to help Chinese culture go out, tell Chinese stories well, make friends with other countries, and let the world understand China, love China, and understand that China is a reliable country that is willing to advance together and share results. Only in this way can the Belt and Road Initiative receive the support and participation of relevant countries and build a community with a shared future. On the other hand, economic and financial cooperation must be implemented. For example, projects such as the Hungary-Serbia Railway and the China-Europe Railway Express, which has become the main force of China-Europe railway transportation, are the great achievements of bilateral and multilateral cooperation among countries related to the Belt and Road Initiative. When the channel is unblocked, the circulation of goods will increase, the communication between people will be better, and the development of countries will be more prosperous.

In this epidemic, the China-Europe train has become a material channel and a channel of life, allowing the world to see the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative. During the epidemic, shipping prices were high and there were few positions, while the China-Europe Express trains could quickly ship goods at a relatively low cost, which fully demonstrated its advantages. Moreover, nowadays, large-scale logistics companies in China are beginning to go global. Through the construction of the One Belt One Road China-Europe Express and the Air Silk Road, the new cross-border e-commerce model is gradually being recognized. Chinese goods are shipped out of containers, and then into the hands of consumers through traders. We obviously feel that there are more and more Chinese products in Europe, and there are more and more European products in China. It can be said that the new model of cross-border e-commerce has profoundly affected people's living habits.

The Belt and Road Initiative has brought opportunities to our overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese, and we are very happy to take advantage of the trend. We will use the China-Europe Express to transport goods. This is particularly advantageous for relatively small-scale commodity transportation. We will find airlines to discuss cooperation, add new nodes and open new city routes on the Air Silk Road. Chinese businessmen are also more involved in the overseas warehouse business of logistics companies. Chinese companies will encounter difficulties like this when they go global. For example, if a logistics company wants to invest overseas to build a new overseas warehouse, the cost is high and the risk is high. Some overseas Chinese businessmen have their own warehouses and employees, and they are familiar with the local policy environment. Cooperation between the two parties may achieve a win-win situation. The overseas Chinese are still exploring how to better participate in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. We look forward to more clear classification and refinement guidance in the future.

Since China proposed the Belt and Road Initiative, many countries including Kyrgyzstan have gained a new understanding of China. In short, the Belt and Road Initiative has brought new expectations to everyone.

Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Kyrgyzstan have strengthened their cooperation. For the overseas Chinese in Kyrgyzstan, on the one hand, we have enjoyed the promotion of our ancestral (home) country in the local society; on the other hand, Chinese businessmen in Kyrgyzstan can also show their talents and participate in many projects to help the local economy. Develop and deepen the local people’s knowledge and understanding of China.

China has provided a lot of assistance to Kyrgyzstan in infrastructure construction. Over the years, Chinese companies have participated in numerous investment and construction projects in Kyrgyzstan. With the help of Chinese experts, the Bishkek-Naren-Turgat highway and the Bishkek-Osh highway have been completed. Currently, the second North-South highway project under construction is undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation. In this project, a 3.7-kilometer-long tunnel and two bridges with a total length of 1.5-kilometer are the most difficult infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan so far. The old North-South Highway has been in disrepair for a long time, and the traffic is not smooth. In addition, there are many mountain sections on this highway, and there are dangerous avalanches every year. Difficult roads and poor logistics directly hinder local economic development. After the completion of the second North-South Highway, it will play an important role in promoting Kyrgyzstan's social and economic development.

Sometimes I take a taxi and drive on roads built in China, and the driver will tell me, look, only China can build such a good road for us, and only China can bring us such a great benefit. Every time I hear such words, I feel happy and proud.

Kyrgyzstan and China have also strengthened educational cooperation. The Kyrgyzstan-Central Asia Overseas Chinese Friendship Association participated in the coordination work. Since 2013, after being recommended by the Association and reviewed by the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, groups of overseas Chinese children of Dungan and Xinjiang ethnic minorities have gone to Chinese universities to receive four-year Chinese education. After receiving education in China, these students returned to Kyrgyzstan. Some entered local Chinese-funded enterprises to show off their skills, and some returned to their hometowns to open Chinese education centers. In recent years, as the Belt and Road Initiative has become more and more popular, more and more people in Kyrgyzstan are willing to learn Chinese.

With the economic development of Kyrgyzstan, the local overseas Chinese will have more opportunities for development, and our children will also benefit. Overseas Chinese in Kyrgyzstan are increasingly aware of the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative. We are willing to do our best to do every task at hand, contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative, and contribute to the friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan.

In 2012, our association donated funds to set up a Chinese language education center. Watching the children recite Tang poems and perform martial arts, many people are feeling that their wish for many years has finally come true. In addition, we also co-organized a newspaper with a newspaper in Xinjiang according to the local overseas Chinese's needs for information on China, and provided free information in Chinese, Russian and Kirghiz.
