Shenzhen confirms 4 billion kronor plan for new Prague Airport Railway

Transnet reopened the Cookhouse-Blaney line in the Eastern Cape. The Czech infrastructure management company SZ announced a tender worth 4 billion kronor (US$182.8 million) for the 5 km Kladno-Kladno-Ostrome on the 29-km Prague-Kladno line The contractor for the dual-track and electrification of the Cidan section, this is the first element route of the upgrade project. The Kladno–Kladno-Ostrovec upgrade project is scheduled to begin in 2022 and be completed in 2024. The contractor selected in the bid will also renovate the Kladno station. The entire project includes the electrification and doubling of the existing Prague-Kladno line, and the construction of a new branch line from Prague-Ruzyne to the airport subway station. The branch line project is expected to start in 2024 and continue until 2029. It is expected that the airport station will conduct a separate tender, which will provide services for the two terminals of the airport. Construction will also begin in 2026, extending the line through Jenech to Kladno to complete a loop.

Shenzhen stated that it is currently preparing documents to launch a tender worth 5 billion kronor in 2022 to upgrade the Prague-Ruzyne-Kladno section, which will be completed in 2025, and Prague-Veleslav-Prague-Ruzy The Nirvana upgrade will be carried out between 2022 and 2027. The Dejvice-Veleslavín section of Prague involves the construction of a new tunnel of 10 billion crowns, which will be carried out between 2025 and 2029. However, SZ is preparing to operate a train between Prague-Veleslavín. The line will be connected to the subway. If this work exceeds the limit, it will reach the city center via an alternative monorail line, which will limit the capacity.
