Wang Yi said that in the face of the turbulent international situation, China and Saudi Arabia need to maintain close strategic communication, which is the meaning of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia. In recent years, under the personal care and strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Saudi relations have continued to move forward. China has always placed Sino-Saudi relations at the priority of Middle East diplomacy, and is willing to be a long-term, reliable and stable good friend and good partner of Saudi Arabia, and looks forward to working with Saudi Arabia to push bilateral relations to a higher and deeper level.

Wang Yi said that China appreciates Saudi Arabia's firm standing with China on issues concerning China's core interests, and will, as always, firmly support Saudi Arabia in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and stability, and resolutely oppose any interference in Saudi Arabia's internal affairs. Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in energy, infrastructure, investment, 5G and other fields has achieved more results. China is willing to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between China and the GCC as an opportunity to complete the negotiations on the China-Sea Free Trade Agreement as soon as possible. China appreciates Saudi Arabia’s active preparations for the China-Arab summit, and is willing to maintain communication with Saudi Arabia to start preparations for the summit at an appropriate time.

Wang Yi pointed out that China has always upheld an objective and fair stand on the Iranian nuclear issue, committed to safeguarding the international nuclear non-proliferation system, and safeguarding the security and stability of the Middle East and Gulf region without any self-interest or geopolitical considerations. China understands and supports Saudi Arabia's legitimate concerns in maintaining national security. The comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue is an important result of multilateralism. China will continue to play a constructive role in promoting the resumption of negotiations on the implementation of the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue.

Faisal said that Saudi Arabia-China relations are very important and are developing well.
