It will become part of the company's existing offshore operations center in Aberdeen and will enable employees to transition from oil and gas to offshore wind energy. "Investing in energy projects in Scotland and the North Sea has always been at the core of TotalEnergies' history," said Pouyanné.
"I am proud of our successful partnership with Scotland and the achievements we have achieved together, especially the development of the offshore industry. With the acceleration of the energy transition, we believe that Scotland is a good place to expand our relationship by investing in offshore wind power. As a global multi-energy company engaged in UK energy supply for a long time, we have decided to locate our British offshore wind power center in Aberdeen. This signifies our full confidence in the future of renewable energy in the UK and our continued commitment to Scotland and the North Sea. Commitment."
