On October 15, 2021, at the start-up ceremony of the new energy projects in Gansu Province in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, the 200,000-kilowatt photovoltaic desert control project in Minqin County invested and constructed by the Gansu Energy Company under the Power Construction Group started. Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and governor, attended and announced the start of construction. Zhou Jianping, chief engineer of Power Construction Corporation, was invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony and visited the project site. Yang Xiaoqiang, general manager of the company and deputy secretary of the party committee, attended the ceremony and accompanied the investigation.

Minqin Photovoltaic Desert Control Project

The project is located in Shuangcike Town, Minqin County, Wuwei, Gansu Province, with a total investment of 990 million yuan, covering an area of 8065 acres, and the main construction of a photovoltaic sand control power station with an installed capacity of 200,000 kilowatts, and supporting construction of 20,000 kilowatts/40,000 kilowatts. One hourly energy storage station and one 110kV booster station will be constructed in the northwest of the factory area, 50 meters wide in the northeast and southeast, and 10 meters wide in the southwest. The overall commissioning is planned to be completed by the end of 2023. Grid-connected power generation.

In the future, after the completion of the 200,000-kilowatt photovoltaic sand control project in Minqin County, the photovoltaic module panels will effectively shield direct sunlight and reduce the evaporation of surface water by 20% to 30%, which will help improve the local environment, promote plant growth, and realize the surface Comprehensive ecological effects of sand fixation and water conservation.

Zhou Jianping and Yang Xiaoqiang inspect the project site

According to reports, Minqin County is located in the northeastern part of the Hexi Corridor. It is surrounded by the Badain Jaran and Tengger Deserts on three sides. The ecology is relatively fragile, but solar and wind energy resources are sufficient, and the development of new energy industries has unique advantages. Editor/He Yuting
