Recently, Huaibei City Transportation Bureau released the publicity of the feasibility study report of Xuhuaifu Expressway (Huaibei Section). According to the announcement, the project has a planned construction period of 3 years. The specific arrangements are as follows: the preparatory work for the project will be completed in 2021; construction will officially start in 2022; and the project will be completed and opened to traffic at the end of 2024.

Xuhuaifu Expressway Huaibei Section Project

The project is in a north-south direction as a whole, starting from the northwest side of Qugou Town, Xiangshan District, Huaibei City. It is connected to the Suzhou section of Xuhuaifu Expressway. Establish the Huaibei-West Interchange at the intersection of Renmin West Road and S303, continue to the south into Suixi County, cross Liuqiao Mining Area Railway and then along Limin Road, cross Liuqiao East, Suixi Development Zone West, Suiwu Industrial Park West and then cross At the intersection of Pahe, S303, and S303, the Liuqiao intercommunication will be set up. The route will continue to cross the Tuohe River to the southwest. After crossing the Baishan Coal Mine, it will cross the Baishan Coal Mine Railway and the existing G343 on the west side of the coal mine, and the Baishan will be installed at the intersection with the existing G343 Connected to the west, and then the route continued to be laid out to the south. The Huaibei section of Xuhuaifu Expressway is 32.184 kilometers, of which Xiangshan District is 7.426 kilometers and Suixi County is 24.757 kilometers. The earthwork of the whole line is 3,126,400 m3, the slope protection and drainage masonry works are 68,650 m3, and the road surface is 5,192,11,000 m2. In the Huaibei section, there are 1076/1 extra-large bridges, 993 meters/3 bridges, and medium and small bridges/3 176 meters. Separate overpasses of 6391 meters/12, branch lines span 546/6; set up 4 interchanges, including 1 hub-type interchange and 3 general interchanges; set up 1 service area; a total area of 3,277.996 acres.
