The British-based solar company LightsourceBP has signed an agreement with a Polish renewable energy company to jointly develop a 757MW solar product portfolio in Poland. The portfolio includes nine projects, which will be developed in the Zachodnio-pomorskie, Lubuskie, Dolnośląskie and Wielkopolskie regions.

Vlasios Souflis, Director of International Business Development of LightsourceBP, said: "Entering the Polish market is an important milestone for us. We already have a considerable investment portfolio. "There is huge room for growth in solar energy because renewable energy needs to be integrated in a short period of time. The share in the grid has doubled. "LightsourceBP predicts that by 2022, nearly half of the projects in the portfolio will be ready for construction. Once the project is completed, the solar portfolio will have the capacity to power more than 300,000 Polish homes. LightsourceBP also plans to sell part of the renewable energy generated by solar farms on the open market. The company is seeking to sign long-term power purchase agreements with large companies, and the solar product portfolio will help Poland's efforts to switch from coal to renewable energy.Editor/XingWentao,Design/XiaChangwang
