Norway plans to make major investments in road projects in 2022. The Norwegian government is formulating a plan to provide a budget of 3.83 billion euros for a series of road development projects.

The budget will be used to cover the construction of the E18/E39 route connecting Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen, the E136 route between Breivika and Lerstad, and the E8 route between Sørbotn and Laukslett. The budget will also help fund the Sotrasambandet project on National Highway 555, which is being carried out under the PPP model.

The Sotrasambandet project is particularly important for Norway. It involves the construction of a new road in Westerland County, Norway, which will have two lanes in any direction along a 9-kilometer length. This work will include the construction of a network of roads, tunnels, bridges and viaducts in Westland. The project is executed by the Sotra Link consortium, which includes Australian company Macquarie Group, South Korean civil engineering company SK Ecoplant and Italian contractor Webuild. Keywords: international engineering project, foreign engineering project information

Other road projects that will benefit from the budget include the E6 section between Megården and Mørsvikbotn, the E16 between Hylland and Sleen, and the E10/85 national road project connecting Tjeldsund with Gullesfjordbotn and Langvassbukt. The sections of the E134 project located in Røldal and Seljestad, Saggrenda and Elgsjø, and connecting the Oslo Fjord will also benefit from the budget. Approximately 47.8 million euros of budget will be used for the E16 highway/Lingrik joint railway project.Editor/Baohongying
