On October 25, 2021, the pre-qualification announcement of the bidding for the construction of the new Baotou-Yinchuan high-speed railway from Baotou to Linhe section and the unit price contracting of the housing construction project was released. The project owner is Inner Mongolia High-speed Railway Co., Ltd., and the bidder is Mengji Railway Co., Ltd. The project will start construction in full at the end of December.

Project Overview

The construction site is located in Baotou City, Bayannaoer City, Ordos City, and Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The newly built Baotou-Yinchuan high-speed rail Baotou-Huinong section leads from Baotou Station and passes through Bayannaoer, Ordos, and Wuhai City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Ningxia Hui people Huinong South Station, Shizuishan City, Autonomous Region. The newly-built line is 420.25 kilometers, with 9 stations.

Scope of bidding

Bid division

This tender is divided into 5 bid sections, bid section numbers: BYZQ-01, BYZQ-02, BYZQ-03, BYZQ-04, BYZQ-05.

BYZQ-01

(1) Station engineering: the existing Baotou Station is renovated and the Baiyanhua West Station is newly built. (2) Subgrade engineering: about 36.738km. (3) Bridge engineering: about 20.63km (including 5 extra-large bridges, 3 bridges, and 11 medium bridges). (4) There are two beam yards with a total of 609 beams, including 381 beams and 228 box beams in the Harlinger beam yard and Genchang village beam yard. (5) Newly built Baiyanhua West Station station building (2000 square meters), production and living houses (6796 square meters), rebuilt houses (340 square meters) and ancillary projects, mileage/range: Jibao K309+600-DK059+071.11.

BYZQ-02

(1) Track-laying project: 1 track-laying base (Haye Track-laying Base), and the range of track-laying package is K309+600-DK255+177.5. (2) Subgrade engineering: about 20.55km. (3) Bridge engineering: about 16.88km (including 4 extra-large bridges, 4 bridges, and 1 medium bridge). (4) One beam field (Wulashan beam field), with a total of 498 holes for box beams. (5) Houses are still being built (1362 square meters), mileage/range: DK059+071.11-DK096+500.

BYZQ-03

(1) Station project: New Wulateqianqi West Station. (2) Subgrade engineering: about 24.73km. (3) Bridge engineering: about 21.77km (including 4 extra-large bridges, 1 bridge, and 1 medium bridge). (4) One beam field (Xixiaozhao beam field), with a total of 660 holes of box beams, mileage/range: DK096+500-DK143+000.

BYZQ-04

(1) Station project: New Wuyuan East Station. (2) Subgrade engineering: about 37.23km. (3) Bridge engineering: about 11.13km (including 7 extra-large bridges and 1 medium bridge). (4) One beam field (Jia Yinhe Gedan beam field), with a total of 315 holes for box beams. (5) Newly built Wuyuan East Station station building (3000 square meters), production and living houses (4721 square meters), rebuilt houses (3165 square meters) and ancillary projects, mileage/range: DK143+000-DK191+600.

BYZQ-05

(1) Station project: Linhe Station is renovated and Linhe West Station is newly built. (2) Subgrade engineering: about 25.43km. (3) Bridge engineering: about 15.07km (including 6 extra-large bridges and 1 medium bridge). (4) One beam yard (Lianfeng beam yard), with a total of 451 holes for box beams and 30 holes for simply supported T beams. Mileage/range: DK191+600-DK232+100.
