The Greek-Romanian joint venture Aktor-Euroconstruct Trading 98 won Lot 3 of the Bucharest South Ring Road. The contract valued at 173.76 million euros (US$20437 million) was awarded by the Romanian national road infrastructure management company CNAIR and funded by the EU Cohesion Fund and the Romanian government.

The winner of the construction of the highway section between Buzau and Ploiesti will be announced at the end of October, and the transaction will be signed at the end of November. CNAIR said that 39 companies have bid for the 63-kilometer project, which will have 42 passages and bridges, and four service areas with charging stations for electric vehicles. The joint ventures that submitted bids included Constructii Erbasu-Bertoni Construct-Acvatot and Tancrad-Bog'Art-Cosedil. In the summer of 2021, the construction of the last 16 kilometers of the Bacău 30-kilometer orbital highway will be completed. The nearly 136 million euros ($161.3 million) track includes seven bridges, one intersection, and nine passages, about half of which are highway-grade.
