Recently, 11 key engineering projects in Qingdao West Coast New District have started construction intensively, with a total investment of 5.63 billion yuan. According to reports, the projects to be built this time cover the three major areas of people's livelihood, industry and infrastructure construction. Among them, there are 2 livelihood projects with a total investment of 2.38 billion yuan; 7 industrial projects with a total investment of 1.92 billion yuan; 2 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 1.33 billion yuan.

It is reported that the Second Chinese Medicine Hospital of Qingdao West Coast New District is located in the transportation business district to the north of Yumei Road, Yuning Road to the south, Haixi Road to the west, and Jia'an Road to the east. It is a major infrastructure construction project for Qingdao in 2020. The planned project, the project is invested and constructed by the Transportation Investment Group, with a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan, covering an area of about 61 acres, a total construction area of about 131,000 square meters, a total of 800 beds, a greening rate of 20%, and a total parking capacity of 830 vehicles.

The main construction content of the project includes outpatient medical technology building, ward complex building and underground garage, etc., with a maximum building height of 65.9 meters, and supporting the construction of aprons, roads, greening, pipe networks, fences, gates, etc. The project is expected to be completed in 2024. The hospital has a two-phase long-term plan. It is planned to build an international exchange center, Chinese medicine-related health care facilities and other supporting facilities.

When completed in the future, the project will become a comprehensive medical center with the most traditional Chinese medicine characteristics in the new district, providing sound medical services for residents in the western urban area and surrounding residents such as Rizhao and Zhucheng, enhancing public supporting construction, and laying a solid foundation for accelerating the construction of a peninsula regional medical center Base.
