The Jurassic production facility project is located in the Jurassic gas field in northern Kuwait. It is a key strategic production project of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation from 2022 to 2023. The growing demand for natural gas power generation has accelerated the development and utilization of Kuwait’s local natural gas resources and accelerated the transition to a clean energy structure.

The early implementation of JPF 1-3 were contracted by Schlumberger and SPETCO. This time there are two bids, JPF4 and JPF5, JPF4 was executed by SPECTO, and JPF5 was executed by Jereh Oil & Gas Engineering. Under the same project scale, Jereh’s winning bid was about 28 million US dollars higher than the former. The project is divided into two phases, including a 26-month EPCC construction period and a 60-month operation and maintenance service period.

Among them, each production facility plans to process 50,000 barrels/day of crude oil and 150MMscfd of qualified natural gas. The equipment involved are: crude oil processing system, including production manifold, gas/oil/water separator, desalination, crude oil stabilization, crude oil metering and export; gas processing system, including natural gas compression, gas desulfurization and dehydration, refrigeration, flare/acid Gas incineration system, sulfur recovery device and molten sulfur transportation device; water treatment system; and required utilities and auxiliary systems.
