Austria has started the expansion project of the Marchtrenk-Wels railway section on the western line. According to the project, the two old railway bridges on the A25 highway will be replaced by three new bridges equipped with modern noise protection devices. An elevator will be installed to provide passengers with access to the platform, and the existing park-and-ride facilities will add 22 parking spaces and 40 bicycles.
