China Railway 20th Bureau signs contract with Kyrgyzstan photovoltaic project

On November 24, 2021, witnessed by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan at the Presidential Palace of Kyrgyzstan, the Minister of Economy and Commerce on behalf of the Kyrgyz government and the China Railway 20th Bureau signed the Issyk Kul 1000 MW photovoltaic project and Toguz 600 Memorandum of Understanding for MW Hydropower Project. Chen Lei, deputy general manager of China Railway 20th Bureau, witnessed the signing at the video branch of the Xi'an headquarters.

China Railway 20th Bureau has rich experience in the construction management of some international projects. Kyrgyzstan is very willing to cooperate and provide help and support to such excellent Chinese enterprises as China Railway 20th Bureau, so that both parties can achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Chen Lei said that Kyrgyzstan, as a friendly and good neighbor of China, has maintained a good development relationship in recent years. Kyrgyzstan has abundant sunlight and abundant water resources, and has unique advantages in the development of new energy sources such as photovoltaics and hydropower. We are also very willing to use our advantages to successfully complete the construction of this project. The Issyk Kul photovoltaic project is the first large-scale photovoltaic power generation project in Kyrgyzstan, and the Toguz hydropower project is an important green energy project in the country.
