On November 24, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Anren section of Hunan Chachang Expressway was officially held in Hongtang Group, Dongzhou Village, Yonglejiang Town.
The total length of the project is 153.655 kilometers, the route in Anren County is 62.979 kilometers, and the investment is about 8.3 billion yuan, of which the main line is 29.48 kilometers long, passing through Pailou Township, Lingguan Town, Anping Town, and Huawang Township in Anren County; Anren branch line is 33.499 kilometers long. Through Longshi Township, Yonglejiang Town, Yangji Township, and Lingguan Township, it is connected with the main line in Shibi Village of Huawang Township. The whole line is designed in accordance with the standard of two-way four-lane expressway. The planned construction period is 3 years.
It is reported that the Chachang Expressway (including the Anren branch line) is a convenient passage connecting the G4 expressway, Hengyan expressway and Pingru, and it is also one of the important traffic passages connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. According to Chen Mansheng, deputy magistrate of Anren County, building the highway is the dream of the century that all Anren people have been waiting for. In the future, the opening of the Cha-Chang Expressway will greatly ease the development bottleneck of Anren County, connect Changsha, Zhuzhou and Tan, connect Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and promote the high-quality economic and social development of Anren County.
