Good news from the West Ten High Speed Rail. On November 26, 2021, the construction and supervision project in front of the Hubei section of the West Ten High-speed Railway was successfully opened at the Hubei Transaction (Procurement) Center. The total investment is about 6.6 billion, China Railway 12th Bureau 3.2 billion, China Railway Tunnel Bureau & China Railway Third Bureau 3.3 billion! If the later process goes smoothly, the Hubei section of the West Ten High-speed Railway with a total length of about 86 kilometers will enter the start-up phase of the whole line at the end of the year.

Project Overview

The construction site is located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The new high-speed railway project from Xi’an to Shiyan is located in the southeast of Shaanxi Province and the northwest of Hubei Province. The line starts from Xi’an East Station in the Xi’an hub and passes through Lantian, Shangluoxi, Shanyang, Manchuanguan, and Yunxi stations, and connects to the existing Shiyan. East Railway Station, the main line is 255.749 kilometers long, including 169.393 km in Shaanxi Province and 86.356 km in Hubei Province. The Hubei section has a roadbed of 0.912km, 8.76km/31 bridges, 77.03km/26.5 tunnels, and the total length of bridges and tunnels is 85.79km, with a proportion of 99.34%. Railway grade: high-speed railway. Number of positive lines: double lines. Design speed: 350 km/h. Minimum curve radius: 7000 meters in general areas (5500 meters in difficult areas). Maximum slope: 20‰ in general areas (30‰ in difficult areas). Traction type: electric power. Effective length of arrival and departure line: 650 meters. Train operation control mode: CTCS-3 level train control system. Dispatching command mode: centralized dispatching. The length of the main line of this tender is 58.223 kilometers, which is divided into 2 bid sections, and the mileage of each bid section is:

XSZQ-2, DK204+800 to DK234+909, the length of the main line is 28.45 km. Including land acquisition and demolition (excluding local responsible parts), roadbeds, bridges, tunnels (excluding tunnel lighting and fire protection), tracks (ballastless beds, track adjustments), comprehensive grounding, housing engineering, other operational production equipment and buildings, large temporary buildings And transition works, karst treatment, tunnel reverse slope drainage, tunnel confined water grouting treatment and other related projects. Non-installed equipment and spare parts not supplied by A in front of the station. There are 13 bridges and 10.5 tunnels. The most difficult project is the Yunxi Tunnel.

XSZQ-3, DIK175+650 to DK204+800, the length of the main line is 29.78 km. Including land acquisition and demolition (excluding the scope of local responsibility), roadbeds, bridges, tunnels (excluding tunnel lighting and fire protection), tracks (ballastless beds, track adjustments, full-line ballastless turnout beds and paved turnouts, full-line ballast beds, full-line double Prefabrication of block sleepers, welding and locking of rails across the entire line), comprehensive grounding, other houses, other operational production equipment and buildings, Dalin and transition projects, karst treatment, tunnel reverse slope drainage, tunnel pressurized water grouting treatment and other related projects. There are mainly 7 bridges and 7 tunnels. The most difficult projects include Yuanling Tunnel and Qinchu Tunnel.

China Railway Twelfth Bureau Group Co., Ltd. won the XSZQ-2 tender with a bid price of 3.2 billion yuan. China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Third Bureau Group Co., Ltd. won the bid for the XSZQ-3 tender with a bid price of 3.38 billion yuan. The Fourth Railway Institute (Hubei) Engineering Supervision Consulting Co., Ltd. won the bid to supervise the XSJL-2 bid section, and the Fourth Railway Institute (Hubei) Engineering Supervision Consulting Co., Ltd. won the bid to supervise the XSJL-2 bid section.
