Recently, the Urumqi Municipal People’s Government and Hesheng Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. formally signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. It plans to build a silicon-based new material industry integration project in the Ganquanbao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Urumqi in March 2022, with a planned investment of 35.5 billion yuan. It is expected to be completed and put into production in 2024.

It is understood that the Ganquanbao silicon-based industrial integration project will create a series of new silicon-based materials, single crystal slicing, battery modules, photovoltaic power generation and other projects.
