On December 22, 2021, the 15.01-meter-diameter super large-diameter shield machine "Zhenxing" jointly built by CRCC and China Railway 15th Bureau successfully rolled off the assembly line.

It is understood that the "Zhenxing" shield machine will be used for the construction of the cross-sea tunnel of the Hengqin-Guangdong-Macao deep cooperation zone-the Hengqin Hazhou Tunnel Project. The tunnel traverses the super soft soil layer. The shield construction section contains more than 63% of ultrafine particles below 20 microns. The shallowest cover of the tunnel is only 7 meters. It is currently the super large diameter shield tunnel with the softest formation and the highest content of fine particles in China. A number of technical difficulties must be overcome during construction, and the tunnel construction is difficult and has high technical content.

In response to a series of geological problems, the equipment adopts targeted design, development and manufacturing, and is equipped with a series of intelligent technologies such as a scalable main drive, a high-precision gas-liquid balance system, and a shield radial clearance compensation system, which greatly improves the shield machine The construction safety of the shield machine ensures the safe, fast and efficient completion of the project construction.

It is reported that the Hengqin Luzhou Tunnel Project is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. After completion, it will connect Hengqin Island, Hongwan Area, and Free Trade Zone. It is of great significance to promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin-Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone.Editor/Ma Xue
