In recent years, the price of lithium salt-related products has continued to rise. Recently, Mount Everest in Tibet and the Government of Salta Province of the Argentine Republic formally signed the "Investment Agreement on the Industrialization of Salt Lake Resources in Salta Province" at the 14th China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit. The signing of this investment agreement marks the official launch of two salt lake development projects planned by the company in Argentina with a total investment of 1.7 billion U.S. dollars.

According to the investment agreement signed this time, Tibet Everest and its subsidiaries will invest about 700 million U.S. dollars in Argentina in 2022 to build an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of lithium carbonate products in the Angeles Salt Lake in Salta Province. The project plans to start construction before the end of 2021 and is expected to be completed before the end of 2022; at the same time, the company will invest 15 million US dollars to complete the geological exploration of the Arizaro Salt Lake in Salta Province in 2022, obtain mining rights and environmental assessment permits (EIA) ; And plans to invest no less than 1 billion U.S. dollars to build an annual production capacity of 50,000 to 100,000 tons of lithium carbonate products in the Arizaro Salt Lake.

Zhang Jieyuan, vice chairman of Mount Everest in Tibet, said: The signing of the investment agreement with Salta Province of Argentina further clarifies the specific phased goals, development direction and total investment of the company’s lithium salt lake mining project. It also clarified that the Argentine government will The various assistance and convenience provided by the company in the project development process; it also shows the determination and ability of Tibet Everest to continue to cultivate the lithium resource development market and adhere to the path of green and sustainable high-quality development.

According to public information, Salta Province is located in the core area of the famous "South American Lithium Triangle" in northern Argentina. Among the 20 lithium salt projects announced by the Argentine Ministry of Mines, 12 are located in Salta Province. At present, there are no lithium salt production projects in Salta Province, and there are only 2 projects under construction.
