On December 26, 2021, the two major industrial projects of the 2×1000MW new construction of the National Energy Hunan Yueyang Power Plant in Huarong County and the wharf of the coal and iron-water combined transportation storage and distribution base will be started at the same time, which will accelerate the development of the green economy of the Yangtze River in Yueyang City. Two major industry projects

The new 2×1000MW project of Guoneng Hunan Yueyang Power Plant is located in Guanshan Village, Dongshan Town, Huarong County. It is a key project of the National Energy Group and the Hunan Provincial Government's strategic cooperation agreement, and it is also a key project for the National Energy Group to develop a strategic layout of one south and one north in Hunan. , It is planned to build 4×1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units. The first phase of the project (2×1000MW) has a total investment of 7.24 billion yuan and will be put into operation by the end of 2023. In the future, after the project is completed and put into operation, it will effectively alleviate the contradiction between power supply and demand in Hunan Province, help Hunan build an important national advanced manufacturing highland, and enhance the economic development strength of Huarong County.

Huarong Coal and Iron-Water Combined Transportation Storage and Distribution Base is located in Dongshan Town. It mainly uses the Haoji Railway and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway to form a combined iron-water transportation network to realize the transportation of coal from north to south. The project consists of a special railway line, a wharf, and a logistics park. The estimated investment is about 3.5 billion yuan. The annual coal turnover of the first phase is designed to be 14 million tons. Among them, the project wharf is located in the Xinjiang Bank section of the Huarong Port District of Yueyang Port of the Yangtze River. 4 3,000-ton coal export berths (with 5,000-ton structure in mind). The 29.685-kilometer-long special railway line started construction in June 2020; the coal logistics park covers an area of 648.3 acres and has a coal storage capacity of approximately 600,000 tons.

In the future, after the completion of the project, it will greatly facilitate the coal demand of the newly built Yueyang Power Plant, change the status quo of no coal strategic reserve base in Hunan Province, and will greatly reduce the cost of coal logistics and realize the cost reduction and efficiency increase of the enterprise.
